Component-level PCB and electronics repair

We do not swap boards. We repair them. Every unit is diagnosed at component level — identifying the exact fault on the PCB, drive, or control system before any work begins.

🔬
Component-level PCB repair — not board swap

We diagnose using oscilloscopes, ESR meters, thermal imaging, and signal tracing. Faulty capacitors, IGBTs, MOSFETs, driver ICs, power transistors — we find the exact component and replace it. This is why our repairs last.

Written warranty on every repair

All repairs and refurbishments carry a written warranty. The duration depends on the scope of work and is confirmed in your repair report before any work begins.

Warranty periods

Depends on scope — agreed per job

Terms & conditions: Warranty covers recurrence of the same fault only. It does not cover new faults, damage caused by incorrect installation, power surges, environmental damage, or misuse. The warranty period is confirmed in writing on your repair report before work begins. Warranty is void if the unit is opened or modified by a third party after repair.

Common questions from manufacturing engineers

What is component-level PCB repair and why does it matter?
Component-level repair means we identify and replace the exact faulty component on the board — a capacitor, IGBT, MOSFET, driver IC, or power transistor — rather than replacing the entire board or drive. It costs less, is faster when parts are available, and is often the only option when replacement boards are discontinued or have long lead times.
How long is the warranty on my repair?
Standard component repairs carry a 12-month warranty. Full refurbishments are covered for 6 to 24 months depending on the scope of work — the exact period is confirmed in writing on your repair report before any work begins. Warranty covers recurrence of the same fault only and is void if the unit is opened by a third party after repair.
How quickly can you repair my control board or drive?
Standard turnaround is 5–10 working days from receipt of your unit at our Newcastle workshop. If your production is down, our emergency service returns most units in 1–3 working days. Let us know when you send the unit and we will prioritise accordingly.
Do you repair obsolete equipment the OEM no longer supports?
Yes — this is one of our specialities. If the manufacturer no longer stocks parts or supports the model, we source components through our global supplier network and repair at component level. We do not need the OEM to supply the board or module.
How much does a repair cost?
We provide a fixed-price quote after diagnosis — you know the full cost before we start any work. There is no obligation to proceed after receiving your quote. Diagnosis is carried out within 24 hours of your unit arriving at our Newcastle workshop.
What happens if you cannot repair my unit?
If we cannot repair the unit, we will tell you clearly and explain why. You will only pay a diagnostic fee — no repair charge applies. We will also advise on the most cost-effective replacement options where possible.
Do I need to visit your workshop?
No. Pack the unit securely and send it to our Newcastle workshop by courier. We handle everything from there — diagnosis, quote, repair, testing, and return. Most customers never need to visit in person.
