ROV Repair
ROV electronic repair & refurbishment
When ROV electronics fail offshore, OEM repair routes are often slow, expensive, or no longer available. Northern Power Electronics supports ROV operators and marine and offshore contractors with component-level diagnosis, repair, and refurbishment of the electronic modules inside ROV systems — helping reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
We do not operate ROVs. We are electronic engineers who repair the boards and modules that keep ROV systems working.
ROV electronics we repair
Why repair instead of replace?
Many ROV systems in service today use electronics that are 10–20 years old, with limited or discontinued manufacturer support. Component-level repair restores original boards rather than swapping assemblies — preserving system configuration, avoiding long OEM lead times, and typically costing a fraction of replacement. For obsolete ROV electronics, repair is often the only option.
All repairs are tested under load conditions before return and covered by our repair warranty. Workshop-based repair from our Newcastle upon Tyne facility, with emergency turnaround available for critical breakdowns.
