Frequently Asked Questions
What counts as an emergency repair?
1
An emergency repair is any situation where equipment failure is causing or is about to cause significant production downtime, operational disruption, or safety risk. This includes failures in control panels, drives, PSUs, PCBs, HMIs, and other critical industrial electronics where waiting for a standard repair timeline is not acceptable. If your operation is stopped or at risk, call us on 0800 001 6045 and we will treat it as a priority from the moment we receive your equipment.
How do I get equipment to you quickly for an emergency repair?
2
Call us first on 0800 001 6045 so we know to expect your equipment and can prepare for it. Most customers use a next-day courier service — we can advise on packaging if needed. For same-day fault diagnosis, equipment needs to arrive at our Newcastle workshop before 10am. Once received, we begin assessment immediately and contact you with findings as quickly as possible
Can you carry out emergency repairs on offshore or marine equipment?
3
Yes. We have extensive experience handling urgent repairs for offshore platforms, marine vessels, and oil and gas facilities. Equipment can be sent to our Newcastle workshop from anywhere in the UK or overseas. We understand the cost of downtime in offshore operations and treat these jobs accordingly. If you have a critical failure on a platform or vessel, call us directly and we will discuss the fastest route to resolution.
What if you cannot repair the equipment within the emergency timeframe?
4
We will tell you as early as possible. After initial assessment — usually the same day for equipment received before 10am — we will give you a realistic timescale. If the repair requires components that need to be sourced, we will tell you the expected lead time and keep you updated. We will never give a false promise on turnaround. If we cannot meet your timeframe, we will say so clearly so you can make alternative arrangements.
